Who knew there was something called an Adobe Certified Associate Exam, or that if you passed it, you could put a little label on a website or resume? Equally unknown to me is the utility of this certification in finding work.
In any event, I was more interested in learning more about Adobe After Effects than in any certification. This book claims that it is preparation for such an exam and throughout there are references to lesson objectives and to the certification objectives, which I genially ignored.
The chapters present a series of demonstrations and exercises using After Effects. The book than repeats in writing the steps shown in the video, sometimes more sparingly and sometimes with a little more detail, than the video. Once I went to the website to watch the video, I realized that everything shown in the book also appeared on the website and I never returned to the paper copy.
