For host OS that has UAC enabled, vmnet0 can only show up if you click “Change settings” in Virtual Network Editor. This is expected behavior. My VM’s network adapter setting is in NAT mode and no extra manual IP were configured for my VM and my Host. kindly note that before restoring to default.
